  • Monument Valley

    Das Monument Valley ist eine Ebene auf dem Colorado-Plateau an der südlichen Grenze des US-Bundesstaates Utah, sowie im Norden Arizonas und liegt innerhalb der Navajo-Nation-Reservation in der Nähe der Ortschaft Mexican Hat in Utah.

  • Resolute Bay

    Resolute Bay (meist abgekürzt nur Resolute genannt) ist nach Grise Fiord die zweitnördlichste Gemeinde des Territoriums Nunavut, Baffin-Region, und hat ca. 200 Einwohner (davon 165 Inuit).

  • Timbuktu

    Timbuktu ist eine malische Oasenstadt mit 54.453 Einwohnern. Die Stadt liegt am südlichen Rand der Sahara, deren Fortschreiten (Desertifikation) der Stadt viele Probleme bereitet.
